dc photographers always shoots as many poses before the wedding as possible. here are a few images that we captured before the nuptials began.
cathy helped me as always. she does an awesome job posing the wedding party and i follow up by clicking the nikon.
everything was moving along so nicely. cathy had posed a few, when she fell as she navigated the three steps from the plat form to the sanctuary floor. I feel like she may have mis-judged the last step. I remember seeing her in my minds eyes as I ponder that alarming moment, fall to the floor disappearing from my sight.
I dropped my nikon to the pew in which i was perched, I found the love of my life lying on the floor wrenching in much pain. brittney had already made it to her side. britt said, "you looked like batman flying off of that pew".
someone called 911 and in a few minuets a team of paramedic were wheeling cathy out of the beautifully decorated sanctuary to an awaiting ambulance.
I stayed behind to complete the task at hand. elbert elliott, cathy's uncle followed her to the hospital. thank you elbert.
i did the very best that i could, captureing brad and katie's heart felt vowes. the wedding went on as scheduled. i had to fight the urge to drop what i was doing to be by cathy's side. i had a job to do and i know that cathy understood that.
everything went really well. a special thank you goes out to brittney and stephanie for all of their help! i could not have gotten through this shoot without their assistance.
